HeartPath collects the information you provide during onboarding (surgery date, surgery type, health history), your daily check-in responses, symptom log entries, education module engagement, messages sent through the platform, and questions saved in your care team question list.
This information is used to personalize your recovery experience and, in aggregate anonymized form, may contribute to research on improving outcomes for heart surgery patients.
In this research prototype, your check-in responses, symptom logs, and personal information are stored locally on your device. Data is not currently transmitted to or accessible by your care team or caregivers through this platform.
Care team monitoring features shown in this prototype use sample data for demonstration purposes. Real-time care team access will require patient account creation in a future version.
HeartPath by Heart Health HQ is designed with HIPAA compliance principles in mind. We treat all patient health information with the protections required for protected health information (PHI) under HIPAA.
[Note: Full HIPAA compliance and BAA execution will be completed prior to clinical deployment. This platform is currently operating as a demonstration and feasibility prototype.]
In a future version of HeartPath, you will be able to request a copy of your data or ask for it to be deleted. These features are not yet available in this research prototype.
