Is it normal to feel tired 5 weeks after bypass surgery?
Yes — fatigue is one of the most common experiences in the weeks following bypass surgery. Your heart and body are healing from a major operation, and this requires significant energy. Most patients notice meaningful improvement between weeks 6–8.
If you are feeling unusually short of breath alongside the fatigue, or if it is getting worse rather than better, contact your care team promptly.
